LIVE: West Ham vs Leicester

West Ham won 10 Premier League games at home last season, their highest top-flight tally since 2001-02. They also completed a league double over Leicester, including a riproaring 3-2 home win in April. Leicester have kept a clean sheet in just 11 per cent of their Premier League games against the Hammers. All this suggests there should be goals in this one.

Moyes names an unchanged 11 from West Ham's victory over Newcastle last week. Leicester are similarly unchanged from their 1-0 win over Wolves at the King Power Stadium. Jannik Vestergaard misses out with a knock so Amartey continues to deputise at centre-back.

SUBS: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Danny Ward, Kelechi Iheanacho, Boubakary Soumare, Timothy Castagne, Marc Albrighton, Patson Daka, Hamza Choudhury, Dennis Praet.

LEICESTER CITY (4-2-3-1): Kasper Schmeichel (c); Ricardo Pereira, Daniel Amartey, Caglar Soyuncu, Luke Thomas; Youri Tielemans, Wilfred Ndidi; Ayoze Perez, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes; Jamie Vardy.

SUBS: Jamal Baptiste, Ben Johnson, Manuel Lanzini, Ryan Fredericks, Mark Noble, Alphonse Areola, Conor Coventry, Andriy Yarmolenko, Issa Diop.

WEST HAM UNITED (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell; Declan Rice (c), Tomas Soucek; Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals; Michail Antonio.

Leicester, too, are looking like top-four contenders again after winning the Community Shield and their league opener against Wolves. Brendan Rodgers' men were particularly good on the road last season, with only the two Manchester clubs picking up more points away from home. The Foxes will need strong away form again if they are to make it back into the Champions League.

West Ham have started their campaign brightly after coming back to beat Newcastle United 4-2 at St James' Park last week. The Hammers have been free-scoring during David Moyes' second spell in charge of the club, with only last season's top four scoring more goals than their 94 since January 2020. Any fears of second season syndrome may be unnecessary.
